Public Speaking: Basics

Public speaking is a foundational skill for all students. In this introductory module, we will develop your public speaking toolkit, discuss the structure of a great speech, and walk through the importance of ethos, pathos, and logos.

Public Speaking: Intermediate

The second of a three-part public speaking series, this module will give you additional chances to practice public speaking and introduce building blocks of effective delivery—how you present your speech to the audience for maximum impact.

Public Speaking: Advanced

In our last public speaking module, we'll hone your toolkit of specific strategies that you can use depending on the situation to maximize your impact in a discussion, presentation, or whatever other setting you encounter.

Research: Basics

Have you ever wondered about what “research” is? In this module you will learn how to develop research questions, analyze relevant sources, and summarize your findings in a research outline, ending this course as a more efficient researcher!

Research: Intermediate

Are you looking to become a better researcher? Through this module, you'll develop tools and techniques--like evaluating sources, creating annotated bibliographies, and writing literature reviews--to produce higher quality research.

Research: Advanced

In our last Research module, we'll explore ways to answer your research question and frame your findings. The crux of good research is good data—you want to find new, highly relevant information that you can analyze to produce your insights.
