Angie Cui

Founding Team + Instructor

Angie was the Chief of Strategy of the Harvard International Relations Council, and graduated with a joint degree in East Asian Studies and Government, with a focus in US-China policy. She also served on the HIRC's Board of Directors, as the Director of Training for Harvard's competitive MUN team, and on the Secretariat of Harvard Model United Nations. She has directed MUN conferences in Boston, Hyderabad, and Beijing, and excited to take your MUN, debate, and negotiation skills to new heights through IRC Academy.

Kathryn Kuhar

Founding Team + Instructor

Kathryn was a member of the Board of Directors of the Harvard International Relations Council and served as the Director-General of Harvard Model United Nations India 2019 and the Director of the Harvard Program for International Education. She studied History with a minor in Government, focusing specifically on voting rights for women. She helped develop Harvard IRC Academy after spearheading education initiatives in Boston and Hyderabad, India.

Pedro Farias

Founding Team + Instructor

Pedro was the President of the Harvard International Relations Council (HIRC). Prior to this role, Pedro served as Chief Financial Officer of the HIRC. He has also served on the Board of Directors of the HIRC and several other functions within the organization. He studied Applied Mathematics in Economics with a Secondary in Computer Science and a Citation in German. Pedro teaches the Basic and Advanced "Starting a MUN Program" modules and the Basic "Starting a Competitive MUN " module.

Haig Cholakian

Founding Team + Instructor

Haig is the Chief of Strategy of the Harvard International Relations Council, and currently studies Applied Math and History. In the past, he has also served on the HIRC's Board of Directors and as the Editor-in-Chief of the Harvard International Review. He's worked on education initiatives in Boston, Dubai, Hyderabad, Singapore, and Yerevan and is excited to teach the Research Basics and Intermediate modules.

Kendrick Foster

Instructor

Kendrick is currently the Head Tutor for the Harvard Program for International Education and the Deputy Under-Secretary-General for the General Assembly at Harvard Model United Nations 2021. Academically, he studies History with a minor in Government focusing on the history of U.S. foreign relations with Latin America. He is excited to teach five modules: Introduction to International Relations, the UN System, Introduction to Social Movements, Social Movements and the Collective Action Problem, and Current Events: International Security.

Sharon Tang

Instructor

Sharon is the Director of the United Nations Security Council for HNMUN, Director of Business for HMUN, and an active member of Harvard's Intercollegiate Model UN Team. She also has been a Model UN coach and instructor, directing at other large MUN conferences, including at NHSMUN where she directs the Crisis committee on NATO. At Harvard, she is studying Economics with a minor in Government and a language citation in Mandarin Chinese. She is excited to teach delegates Model UN 101 Basic, Starting a MUN Conference Basic, and Starting a MUN Conference Advanced.

Olivia Morris

Instructor

Olivia has been a tutor for the Harvard Program for International Education, teaching internationally-focused content to high school students in the Boston area. She studies neuroscience along with global health and health policy. She is excited to teach the following modules: Intro to IR: International Bodies, Intro to IR: Regional Cooperation, Social Movements: Activism Today, and Current Events: COVID-19 and Globalization.

Nick Stauffer-Mason

Instructor

Nick graduated from Harvard College with a joint degree in Government and East Asian Studies and a Secondary in Economics. At Harvard, Nick served on the board of Harvard Model United Nations China, the largest international affairs simulation in East Asia. He also served as Executive Director of a student-run legal aid service and was a peer tutor at the Harvard College Writing Center. Nick is excited to share his passion for public speaking, research, and thoughtful argumentation with you in his modules.

Barnett Zhao

Instructor

Barnett serves on the Board of Directors of the Harvard International Relations Council and is one of the current co-directors of the Harvard Program for International Education. As co-director, Barnett shares his passion for global understanding with high school students in the Boston area. Barnett studies Sociology with a minor in Ethnicity, Migration, Rights. He is excited to be teaching Writing.

Oscar Berry

Instructor

Oscar is a second-year student who serves as the Chief-of Staff for Harvard's competitive MUN team, a Director for the HNMUN college-level conference, and the Financial Director of the Harvard International Review magazine. He is also the co-President of the Harvard International Relations Council (HIRC) recruitment arm, and a member of the political debate organization. He is studying International Relations in Government with a Secondary in History and a Citation in French. Oscar teaches Advanced "Negotiations" and "Economic Globalization and International Finance".
